The Stephens Bump

On June 20th I had the honor of taking photos for an old high school friend that I had not seen in 10 years. He and his wife are expecting their first child in August. The day feel in among 90 degree days here in Missouri, but we were blessed with a few beautiful hours. Here are a few of my favorite images from that shoot.

I was asked by Denney's Harley-Davidson to shoot some Hooters Girls for their July 12th HOGS For Dogs event. They needed some images for their brochures. I was very excited to be able to do this and had a blast.
This year's event, like last year, is going to benefit C.A.R.E. (see link in sidebar) - Castaway Animal Rescue Effort in Springfield, MO. C.A.R.E. is a no-kill shelter with an incredible staff, and they are in desperate need of donations. New Service - Home School

I've expanded my services to offer school session portraits to home school students in the Springfield/Bolivar area. Photos can be taken outside or inside. If you wish to schedule a session for your student and know of other parents that may like to also I'd be happy to set up and have a shoot for more than one student at a time.

This service is particulary close to my heart as I was a home school student during high school. I admire parents who choose to educate their children at home, it takes dedication and a lot of hard work.

New Look

Since the beginning of the year I've been wanting to change my website's look. I didn't want to change the layout - my friend Melissa did a wonderful job and I'm thankful - but the colors were dark (what I had orginally wanted). I started getting depressed just looking at it - that is NOT the feeling I want others to experience when they visit :).

I'd appreciate any feedback. I realize that some of you may be visiting for the first time, but that doesn't mean you don't have an opinion. All the color that you see was once all black and white.

Smith Wedding

On the 31st I was honored with the opportunity to photograph my sister's wedding to her high school sweetheart. It's been 16 years since they've been a couple and they'd recently found each other again. It was just a small event and, unfortunately, I had to do the whole wedding without my new lens' (which would have been perfect). I did get some shots that I really love.
