Red

For anyone who knows me, including my husband who says its just weird to see tools in my hand, I'm not mechanically inclined in the 'car' sense. I thought of this shot out of the blue and though this isn't what I originally had in mind I really like how it turned out. That's why I love the 365 project so much. I have always seen myself in certain ways...but this causes me to think outside my own box. To push myself and create new situations.As to why I did this shot for the color red: My husband has been a mechanic since we got married and I've always seen his tool box or tools when I thought of red. It was a big deal for him to get this toolbox years ago...or to get the new impact with its red body. Even a majority of his other tools are red and black mix. Its a color of passion..and while most people see the sexual version of this word only...I see the feeling itself. I'm passionate about photography...he was passionate about his tools and being a mechanic.
Now the color of his passion has changed to Orange and Black (Harley-Davidson)...but for me Red will always be the color of a mechanic.
